What's New in YaRKEN - January 2026

Ask Yarken is now agentic and reasoning-driven

Ask Yarken has been upgraded from a workflow-based assistant to an agentic, reasoning-driven AI built for financial and IT spend analysis. Instead of relying on fixed workflows and predefined SQL generation, Ask Yarken now interprets intent, evaluates context, and determines the best way to answer each question—delivering more accurate explanations, deeper insights, and greater flexibility when working with complex financial data.

With this enhancement, users can ask contextual questions directly from tables, receive clearer explanations of underlying figures, and uncover insights without switching views or performing manual analysis. This creates a more seamless and efficient data exploration experience throughout the application.

What’s new
    • Agentic reasoning
Applies logical reasoning to understand intent and context before responding, and adapts its approach based on the question, data relationships, and prior interactions.
    • Deeper spend and variance analysis
Explains why spend changes occur (not just what changed), breaks down variances across cost pools, towers, vendors, and time, and supports cross-dimensional analysis for more complete financial insight.
    • Stronger domain expertise
Improved understanding of FinOps, TBM, and IT financial management concepts, enabling more accurate responses to procedural, instructional, and analytical questions.
    • Data visualization
Can generate column charts, line charts, pie charts, and stacked visualizations to help users interpret results more quickly.
    • Access-level permissions
Respects Account- and Cost Center-level permissions, ensuring responses are limited only to data the user is authorized to access.
    • Improved workspace
A new full-screen experience supports longer queries, deeper analysis, and clearer results.
    • SOP (Playbooks) support
Ask Yarken now supports SOPs (Playbooks) to help teams standardize how the AI responds to common financial and operational questions. With SOPs, organizations can define guided instructions, preferred calculation logic, terminology, and response structure, ensuring Ask Yarken produces answers that align with internal policies and reporting standards. This enables more consistent, repeatable, and trustworthy outputs—especially for workflows like variance analysis, FinOps reporting, TBM interpretation, and IT spend reviews.

Together, these enhancements deliver a more intelligent, flexible, and enterprise-ready AI experience across Yarken.

Multi-currency support across Yarken

Yarken now supports end-to-end multi-currency handling, enabling teams to upload, store, analyze, and report spend in both base currency and foreign currencies—with full traceability from source values through to converted reporting outputs.

Key capabilities include:

    • Configurable foreign currencies
Administrators can configure foreign currencies from a comprehensive list of supported currencies. These selected currencies will be available for the reporting and ensures teams work only with relevant currencies while maintaining consistency across uploads, reporting, and analysis.

Forreign Currency

Centralized exchange rate management

Exchange rates can be managed centrally and maintained monthly by year, supporting accurate historical conversions. Bulk upload is also available to load multiple exchange rates at once.

Currency Exehange

Spend uploads with foreign currency traceability

Actual spend uploads now support new fields like Foreign Amount, Foreign Currency, and Exchange Rate, allowing teams to preserve the original source values even after conversion. The system stores both the original currency value and the converted base currency per transaction, ensuring transparency and auditability.

Upload

  • Cloud spend currency conversion
Cloud uploads automatically convert costs into base currency using the month- and year-specific exchange rate, based on the cloud charge period start date and billing currency.
  • Multi-currency analysis across analytics and dashboards
Spend can now be analyzed using either base currency or the original foreign currency, along with the applied exchange rate. Multi-currency values are supported across analytics and custom dashboards, improving consistency in reporting and analysis across global teams.

This enhancement strengthens Yarken’s support for global financial operations, ensuring consistent and reliable reporting across regions, entities, and currencies
